FPAC connects artists & audiences, building community

The Minnesota Music Archive is digital hub for everything Minnesota music, including a dynamic collection of released music by local artists, on-line exhibits highlighting Minnesota music history, and other content designed to sustain the state’s music legacy.

The archive will serve as a centralized home built to preserve our state’s musical identity in an era when discovery is increasingly shaped by global algorithms. It will redefine how listeners find and engage with Minnesota music in the future. From polka to hip‑hop, heavy metal to country, jazz to Indigenous traditions, classical to Tejano, and beyond, the archive aims to document every genre, era, and cultural heritage across the state — connecting communities and ensuring Minnesota’s music remains visible and valued for generations to come.

Art-A-Whirl® is a district-wide open studio tour in Northeast Minneapolis. It’s a great opportunity to tour private artist studios and galleries, connect with the artists, and purchase original artwork. Over the last few decades, it has become the largest open studio tour in the country. Art-A-Whirl® takes place annually throughout Northeast Minneapolis, the third weekend of May.
