Championing Artists and Building Community
For more than 10 years, FPAC had been the 501(c)(3) operating organization behind the Hook & Ladder Theater in South Minneapolis. Together, FPAC and Hook & Ladder Theater proudly served the state of Minnesota’s artistic community, hosting thousands of shows, and events with many thousands of attendees during this 10-year period, creating shared experiences and memories, connecting people from all backgrounds and all age ranges. With its outreach, development, education, and performance opportunities, FPAC, along with the Hook & Ladder Theater served the community by providing inclusive, safe spaces for all by creating a culture of belonging where every individual, – communities of color, women, LGBTQIA+ populations, and people with disabilities – felt safe, welcomed, valued, and empowered.

A Presenting Organization
After years of working behind the scenes, FPAC is stepping into an exciting new chapter and is now launching as an independent presenting organization, bringing its distinctive curatorial vision to venues and spaces throughout the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metro area and in the future, beyond.
“We’ve been building something steady and intentional for ten years,” said Tim Koehler, Board Chair of FPAC. “Now we’re ready to take our mission of providing a voice to all, to more stages across the metro and eventually to include greater Minnesota.”
While The Hook & Ladder Theater will still remain part of FPAC’s programming, it will no longer be our only performance space. The move to a presenting arts organization allows FPAC to collaborate with new partners and support artists in ways that were not possible within a single venue model.
