Give to the Max for Barrier-Free Arts in 2026
As we continue in 2026, Firehouse Performing Arts Center (FPAC) is celebrating its 10-year anniversary.
FPAC is transitioning from operating the Hook & Ladder Theater and is expanding our mission to present shows at The Hook & Ladder Theater, as well as other venues across the Twin Cities Metro area.
FPAC’s 10-year anniversary will continue to serve our community through music, culture and connection – while still looking ahead to the next decade and beyond with a powerful goal: to expand barrier-free arts programming.

FPAC focuses on “barrier-free” which means that everyone – regardless of income, ability or background – can experience live music, creativity, and community. It means continuing to provide low-cost and free events, accessible ticket options, artist grants, and inclusive programming that uplifts the voices of Minnesota musicians and connects audiences who might otherwise be left out.
From outdoor neighborhood concerts to benefit shows, from local band showcases to culturally diverse celebrations, our barrier-free programs ensure that the arts remain a shared community experience — not a luxury.
We believe that music belongs to everyone, and that artists deserve fair pay, supportive stages, and audiences that reflect the full spectrum of our Twin Cities community.
Your contribution helps us:
- Keep access to shows equitable for all performers and audiences
- Support local artists with fair pay and professional opportunities
- Provide free and low-barrier community events
- Create safe and welcoming spaces for all performers and all audiences
As we enter our 10th Anniversary year, FPAC remains committed to the same mission that started it all: Creating safe, just and equitable performance spaces for the purpose of enriching and empowering artists and communities, one stage at a time.
